Committee Function:    
 
  1. Receive, review and respond to complains pertaining to the practice of land surveying in Iowa.
  2. Refer Iowa code violations to Iowa State Board of Engineering and Land Surveying Examiners.
  3. Investigate and report to SLSI Board on ethics complains:
    1. Refer complaint to committee of peers if necessary.
    2. Report determination to subject of complaint, and, if necessary, obtain consent decree to eliminate cause of complaint.
  4. Report disposition of cases to SLSI Board.
  5. Keep members of SLSI informed on changes to Iowa Code and administrative rules and code of ethics.
  6. Provide articles on ethics for publication in SLSI newsletter.
  7. Submit report at SLSI Annual Meeting.
